thank you very much for this information. i never understood what was wrong with me this one night, (i was actually in bed trying to go to sleep) except my doctor only told me it was a panic attack. i have asthma so i thought i was having an asthma attack (gasping for breath) which possibly made me panic more, does the fact that i have asthma make me more prone to getting them?

Thanks for this vid. For me its im always worrying that i have cancer. When i was a kid it was heartattacks. I felt a little lump under my breast, it quickly went from breast cancer, to lymphoma cause of my night sweats that i started having the night i discoverd the bump. Its been three weeks since ive found this bump and it hasnt changed. and i am a male so i know breast cancer is rare for us. But still i tell myself there is nothing else it could be. Ive had at least 5 cancers in my mind.

I just realized I have anxiety...I have most of those syptoms along with terror attacks (thats just what I call the panic attacks in my sleep...I don't know if theres a real name for them) I'm alot better now but I'm pretty sure I had anxiety as a kid and probably still have it now just not as bad

Watercup, first of all there are thousands of people every day suffering from panic attacks. It's tough to deal with, but there's definitely things you can do to alleviate your symptoms.

In order to know how to prevent panic attacks, we first have to know some of the causes. Much of it is psychological, so what we think affects how much stress and anxiety exists in our personal world-view.

Preventing a panic attack can sometimes be as simple as focusing our minds on things that are more relaxing and soothing than what we are currently experiencing.

Deep breathing techniques can be very helpful in combating panic attacks. But one of the most important things is to be able to realize the onset of an attack.

If you want to learn how to prevent panic attacks you must be able to diagnose what situations tend to bring them on, and it will enable you to avoid those situations and keep them out of your life.

Again, the types of thoughts you're having may very well be the root of the problem, and the starting point of most of the attacks-so consider that as a source. By learning to change your thoughts whenever they begin to stray into stressful areas, you can exercise some control over your panic attacks.

It's always best to learn to master these breathing and thought changing techniques before reverting to medications. While medications work for many people, they always come with side effects and are hard on your body.

The best way to attack this problem is to learn to keep your stress level down and prevent panic attacks at their first onset.

There are really affordable therapy techniques out there, and new ways is to break panic attack cycles before they happen every time. That means your body can stop feeling the stress that happens before your panic attacks. Take a look at my source for more on this helpful therapy.

Hope this helps!

i suffer from panic attacks and i get several of these symptoms, some of this is due to to much adrenaline, and taking in too much oxygen, and yes partly in our heads too.

Same symptoms here as well. It is that feeling of impending doom that I hate the most. I have these panic attacks that always resemble a heart attack... Shortness of breath, chest pains, sweat etc... yet the doctor tells me I am in good health.

Panic attacks are shear terror. Thanks for the video... gives me some comfort to know I am not crazy and that others also suffer the same symptoms as I do and can relate.
