Nervous diseases are more difficult to diagnose than diseases of the various organs of the body because the nervous system is hidden from the eye of the physician and it can be known only from the disturbances of the organs governed by the affected nerves whether and of what type the nervous diseases if. Under this head come apoplexy, illness, neurasthenia and others. The most common nervous disorder with which the layman is familiar is nervous weakness, nervous breakdown or nervous exhaustion.

Read more on Nervous Weakness Treatment and cure nervous weakness.
Many factors contribute to the production of nervous diseases. Some people are born with a nervous disposition and it is that category which generally suffers from headaches, neuralgia, hysterical manifestations and bizarre forms of mental activity. The nervous system is exposed to the fast pace of modern life which tends to bring on many diseases like anxiety stages, digestive disturbances and exhaustion. Shocks to both mind and body, such as the loss of a dear one, money reverses, an unfortunate love affair and an accident may be the starting point of many chronic nervous complaints. Certain organic poisons like the one produced in body by diseases like syp0hilis give rise to serious nervous disorders. Chronic alcoholism may bring on severe mental derangement. The organic diseases may be apparent from an autopsy but the inorganic disorders manifest themselves in the shape of hysteria, anxiety states and nervous breakdowns.

          ]]>

Weakness of the nervous system can give rise to diseases like dyspepsia or palpitation which cannot be helped by remedies directed towards those organs. It is but natural since it is the brain and the nervous system enclosed in it which controls the bodily functions. A sudden loosening of bowels or the bladder in case of fright is an example. Another example is of certain persons with a strong will power who are able to fight serious crisis brought on by disease much better than ordinary individuals.

A person suffering from nervous weakness or debility generally experiences a sense of nameless fear, agitation, perplexity, confusion, worry, disappointment, loneliness, irritability, and insomnia. The physical symptoms are constipation, dyspepsia, headaches, vague aches and pains all over the body and feverishness. The patient is also inclined to be a hypochondriac. The moment he reads about or hears the symptoms of a disease he imagines that he suffers from it. The wise physician will keep him away from any medical literature.

The main cause of a nervous breakdown is the rat race in which modern man engages. The lust for money and success which again is measured in the good things of life motivates a man to overwork, both mentally and physically. Constant worry about things being done and to be done lead to tension and a man falls prey to his imagination. Over straining leads to mistakes which erodes his self confidence and after that the only way is the way downhill.

Since a healthy mind can reside only in a healthy body, see that the body regains its health. The patient must live a normal, natural life. He should try to get more sleep. During the day also he should be advised to relax in a bed for some hours. The loosening of tensions by relaxation will help his organs to do their work properly and he would be able to get rid of the poisons.

The next imperative for such a patient is exercise. He should take walks and if possible take to jogging. His food should include bread made from wheat from which bran has not been sieved out, fruits and boiled vegetables. Since nervous debility shows a marked lack of Vitamin B, the deficiency should be made up by inclusion in his diet of foods which contain it in larger measure. Unpolished rice, milk, cucumber, mangoes, pears, pineapples, guava, tomatoes, raisins and leafy vegetables should be his mainstay. He should be asked to eat his food in a relaxed manner, chewing it properly before ingestion.

Massages can help in reactivating the nervous system. Hydropathical treatment is also recommended and that merely consists in bathing his spine with a garden or bathroom shower for a couple of minutes. The water should be cold. During summer cold showering of the spine could be done three times or more and in winter twice would do.

Panic attacks symptoms can be very confusing. They include weird feelings, you have no idea what’s going on, where they come from and why this is happening to you. Panic attacks can be confused with a nervous breakdown, heart attack, general anxiety and more. This guide will help you find out if you suffer from panic disorder or is it actually something else.

Hyperventilation

Do you feel that you breathe faster than you need? Short of breath? This is called hyperventilation. When this happens, the brain gets less oxygen than needed. The result: your vision blurs, you can feel dizzy, anxious, nervous and tense. You may also feel like crying and worst of all – suffocating. Than you get the need to breathe more deeply, which makes the condition worse. This causes feelings of numbness or cold feet, chest pain and trembling and tingling in your fingers and feet. It’s very frightening. Many people get so freaked out, they run to the emergency room immediately.

Dizziness

Do you feel suddenly light-headed or dizzy? Many times you may also feel unable to balance, like you’re sea sick. You may also feel like you are going to faint right now and that the world is spinning. This is usually caused by the hyperventilation but not always. When you think you will faint you get even more afraid which elevates the panic. This can continue for hours or just minutes.

Chest pain, Palpitations, Irregular Heart Beats

          ]]>

Chest pain is probably the most frightening one of the panic attacks symptoms. Most people that experience this are sure they are going through a heart attack. Your heart beats real fast and the chest muscles feel very tight. The added fear causes more false heart attack symptoms like sweating, numbness in the arms and palpitations. Sometimes you can feel irregular heart beats, or skipped beats. The chest pain you feel is caused by the tensed muscles in your chest and not by a heart attack.

Other Panic Attacks Symptoms Are:
· Throat thickening, choking feeling
· Blurred vision, sensitivity to light, itchy eyes
· Ringing in your ears
· Digestive system/Nausea
· Nausea and digestion problems
· Metallic taste in the mouth or ammonia taste or smell
· Sudden urge to go to the toilet, frequent urination
· Stiffness in the muscles, muscle twitching
· Shaking or trembling
· Feeling chilled, cold sweating
· Tingling in hands and feet, numbness
· Headaches
· Depersonalization, Derealization, Feeling of unreality
· Fear of losing your mind, fear you are going to die, losing control
· Chronic fatigue
· Being afraid to get out of the house, seeing people
· Dry mouth
· Mood swings
· Panic in the middle of the night, bad dreams
· Obsessive thoughts, trouble concentrating
· Sugar cravings constantly
· Weak legs
What Causes Panic Attacks Symptoms?

The reasons for panic attacks are not yet fully known. Some studies found that a combination of reasons are involved, some of them are: abnormalities in the brain (Chemical problems in some parts of the brain), family genetics (it’s known to run in families) and constant major stress or post traumatic syndrome (major life transitions, death of spouse or family member).

What Can You Do About It?

If the symptoms listed above apply to you, you may be suffering from panic attacks. There are many different ways to treat panic disorder: medication, herbal remedies, breathing techniques, counseling and supplements are some of them.

The best way to treat panic attacks symptoms is to achieve a real cure by treating the root and causes of the problem. This can be achieved by cognitive behavioral therapy.

Remember this – You don’t have to accept and live with panic attacks symptoms. To find out about a cognitive behavioral technique that has helped thousands of sufferers, go to http://no-more-panic-today.com

It’s time to take that important first step – right now!

A panic attack is a sudden occurrence of anxiety and fear – often to the point of being overwhelming and all-consuming. It may be accompanied by dizziness or feelings of nausea; a racing heart and shortness of breath can also be present during an episode. It is important to be aware of panic syndrome symptoms and the disorders that they point to -the sooner you realize that you are experiencing these things and find help, the better.

Panic attacks can happen anywhere and to anyone. You can be alone, in a crowded supermarket, or even sleeping; these disorders and they are often terrifying symptoms are not picky when it comes to when and where they strike. Symptoms of a panic attack usually come on quickly – a panic episode rarely lasts more than a full hour – before and during that time span you may experience some or all of the following:

Dizziness, numbness, and trembling

Anxiety and symptoms related to the disorder often bring about physical reactions such as dizziness, numbness, and trembling. Whether from fear or a simple rush of adrenaline, these symptoms can be a great clue that a panic attack is on its way. If you feel yourself begin to have these things happen to you, try to find a quiet place to sit down and collect yourself before the symptoms morph into something even more unmanageable.

          ]]>

Body temperature fluctuations and nausea

More common side effects or precursors to a panic attack are uncontrollable body temperature fluctuations and nausea. The chills, sweating, hot or cold flashes, and a feeling of nausea can all point to a pending panic attack. These panic syndrome symptoms can be very unpleasant, especially when in a crowd. If you find yourself exhibiting these symptoms, find a private restroom or waiting area where you can calm down and wait the episode out.

Shortness of breath and heart palpitations

If you find yourself experiencing shortness of breath, hyperventilation, or heart palpitations, a panic attack could be right around the corner. Anxiety and symptoms – especially those that deal with your blood and oxygen regulation – can be especially nerve-wracking. If you find these things happening to you, be sure to get to a relaxing place; if necessary, be sure to get a hold of a medical professional for assistance.

The more you know your body, though, and are able to identify the symptoms as they arise, the better you will be able to manage and predict your anxiety breakouts.

A panic attack is a crisis situation. Your body is focusing on short-term survival. Increases adrenaline levels, blood pressure rises, faster breathing. These are some important symptoms of panic attacks and anxiety and you must take them seriously.

Your legs are ready to run, your arms are tense, ready for battle. Your pupils are dilated, ready to receive more light. You feel in imminent danger, you know that something is wrong. There is not a scene from an action movie, it’s a panic attack.

Anxiety and panic are the most prevalent mental disorders, affecting one in 75 people. At least 1.6% of American adults, or 3 million people will have a panic attack at some point in their lives. This is why we should know exactly what are the symptoms so we can better prevent and deal anxiety and its effects.
The symptoms of panic attacks and anxiety may vary from person to person but in general there are almost the same because in the most cases the primary source is fear. An attack usually lasts up to 10 minutes, but some symptoms can last longer. It often comes accompanied by sweating, accelerated heart beats, chest pain, choking, dizziness, tremor, numbness of limbs, terror, fear of going mad or desire to escape.

Among the things that cause these attacks, the most important are major events in a person’s life, such as marriage or childbirth, severe stress, a genetic disposition, hormonal disorders or a history of emotional trauma. These attacks are unexpected, coming suddenly, without warning or without any reason and the symptoms of panic attacks and anxiety are appearing only in the last moment.

Other Symptoms of Panic Attacks And Anxiety
Your mind is immediately filled with thoughts that you might die of a heart attack, as you might choke, you’ll go mad or lose control. The human mind easily remember the circumstances in which a panic attack happened so that next time a panic response is triggered by a situation or an environment where the mind could not manage effectively.

60% of these attacks are accompanied by hyperventilation, a sign that you have too much oxygen in your lungs and your body need a certain amount of carbon dioxide. CO2 loss can be prevented by keeping your breath. Breathing into a paper bag is also a useful technique. Exercising is the best way to “reset” your breathing that becomes erratic after an attack.

How To Reduce The Symptoms of Panic Attacks And Anxiety
The part of the brain where attack occurs is the primitive part which is meant for survival, not for solving complex situations. Not the rational part of the brain handles crisis situations, but the irrational.

Managing a panic attack is a relatively simple. If a person has been diagnosed with symptoms of panic attacks and anxiety, some useful techniques can stop the attack. The first step is to relax your muscles, followed by repeated tightening and loosening your muscles. After this you should slow down your breathing, breath as if you blow a candle. Placing your hands on your stomach to feel the rhythm of respiration is recommended.

Many people have problems with friends, family or job while struggling with this disease. They are more likely to abuse alcohol or drugs, have a higher risk of suicide, spent more time in hospital emergency rooms and less time with their hobbies, sports or enjoyable activities and tend to be financially dependent on others, feel less healthy mentally and physically.

That is why we should know exactly the symptoms of panic attacks and anxiety so we can start and treat this condition immediately, before it will too late. The best way to cure anxiety is using natural treatments because as compared with medication, these have no negative side effects and also will improve your life and reduce the stress level from your body. There is a guide that can help you in your battle with anxiety that uses only natural methods.

But to fully put in practice these natural remedies you need professional guidance and this step-by-step guide that will teach you everything you need to know about treating anxiety and panic attacks.

Panic symptoms and panic anxiety attacks are a relatively common condition in which a person experiences a period of quite intense anxiety which comes on suddenly. They can last from a few minutes to a few hours. The frequency of occurrence can also vary quite widely from occurring daily to occurring once every year or so. Panic attacks can also happen at any time and have even been known to happen whilst the person is asleep. The causes of panic symptoms can also vary and may be triggered by an entirely random event or a sequence of specific “personal trigger” events.

People who suffer frequent panic attacks are said to have a condition called panic disorder. It is estimated that 2% of the population will experience a panic attack during their lifetime. The external panic symptoms of an attack can have quite negative social results. It is estimated that 1 in 3 sufferers of panic disorder also have some form of agoraphobia – that is to say they are afraid to go out.

What’s it like

People who are having a panic attack often fear that they are having a heart attack, have difficulty breathing and in extreme cases fear that they may be dying. This is despite the fact that the fear experienced during a panic attack is often out of all proportion to reality.

The length of time that that panic symptoms is suffered by someone can vary from person to person. Panic disorder may continue for just a few months or last for years. This largely depends on when treatment is sought and what treatment is given. There is quite a bit of evidence available which suggests that with many people the symptoms just disappear of their own accord later in life.

Most sufferers of panic symptoms will get better after treatment. There are many treatments available and eventually a person will encounter a trigger event whilst under treatment but not have an attack. This will break the panic pattern and will eventually allow a person to lead a normal life without the need for further treatment.

Methods of Treatment

The best treatments are natural holistic ones which do not involve the used of antidepressants such as imipramine and Nardil. The patient should try activities which lead to stress reduction such as yoga and tai-chi. Indeed, most moderate physical exercise can help in relieving the symptoms of panic attacks. Stimulants such as caffeine and nicotine should be avoided where possible. Psychotherapy is another possible treatment which could help to reduce symptoms. Finally, cognitive-behavioral techniques using relaxation therapy has also been found to help people overcome the effects of panic symptoms.

Panic attack symptoms are often mistaken for a heart attack. A recent study of over 3000 post menopausal women has linked panic attacks to heart attacks and strokes

2011 NHL, NBA Playoffs: Why Panic Never Pays
The San Jose Sharks have blown a 3-0 series lead to the Detroit Red Wings in the Stanley Cup Playoffs. The question I’ve heard asked in more than one article is whether or not it’s time for the Sharks to panic. I’d like to answer that question with another question: When is it ever time to panic? Sportswriters love wondering about “panic time.” When should a team “hit the panic button?” But isn …
